Clash of the Titles & Cathy Bryant

Clash of the Titles, Where Authors Compete and Readers Judge

The literary website, Clash of the Titles, launched with a bang, and has increased in momentum ever since. They’ve had phenomenal authors, from historical romance writer, Lena Nelson Dooley to fantasy writer extraordinaire, Janalyn Voigt. Today Jennifer Slattery, Marketing Representative for Clash of the Titles, will highlight six COTT participants.

Cathy Bryant’s Texas Roads, was a hit, and her enthusiasm was contagious! "I love the concept behind Clash of the Titles, especially since it allows readers to see snippets of scenes from various authors. The book I chose to feature on COTT was Texas Roads, a 2009 ACFW Genesis finalist and Book 1 in the Miller's Creek novels. The theme of the book is finding our spiritual "home" in Christ. For now, my earthly home is Texas. A Texas gal since birth, l live in a century-old Texas farmhouse with my hubby and a phobia-ridden cat."

In Texas Roads, city gal Dani Davis just wants to find a place to call home. Miller's Creek, Texas, with its country charm and quirky citizens seems like the perfect place to start over. Perfect, that is, except for the cowboy who gives her a ride into town... Dani secretly finances renovations to downtown Miller's Creek, but malicious rumors force her to choose between keeping her involvement a secret and the home for which she's always longed. Then the discovery of an age-old secret propel her down a road she never expected to travel. Steve Miller is determined to save his dying hometown. When vandalism jeopardizes the Miller's Creek restoration project, he can't help but suspect Dani, whose strange behavior has become fodder for local gossips. Will Steve and Dani be able to call a truce for a higher cause, and in the process help Dani understand the true meaning of home?

As you can see, we’ve had a great fall at Clash of the Titles and we are looking forward to an even better winter. Come join the fun at Clash of the Titles, where authors compete and readers judge!

Jennifer Slattery is a freelance writer, columnist, novelist and the marketing representative for Clash of the Titles. In 2009 she won first place in the HAWCN writing contest, book category and in 2010 she placed second in the Dixie Kane and fourth in the Golden Pen, Inspirational category for both. She has a weekly marriage column on the Reflections in Hindsight website and has been published in numerous other publications. 7. What a great idea..Battle of the books is a great creation. That way it gives readers a chance to try out new stories that maybe they would not normaly look at or pick up. There are so many good books out there that many never get to see.

  10. Cathy's book is great. I've read it early last fall and was impressed with the ease in which she wrote the story. Since I have read the book, please don't include me in the giveaway drawing. I hope whoever would benefit the most from this book wins it. They'll enjoy it immensely as I did. Thanks for the giveaway and the opportunity for someone to win it.

    Happy New Year, Friends,
